Founding Product Engineer

Flint is reimagining how students learn with AI. We're building the core teaching and learning platform for K–12 schools — one that delivers personalized learning at scale while making teachers' lives easier, not harder.

We’ve been heads-down for the past two years and now work with 200+ schools across the U.S. and around the world.

We’re backed by Y Combinator (S23) and led by a lean, fast-moving team. You’ll join at the ground floor, working directly with our CTO (ex-Googler) and a small group of engineers to ship ambitious, thoughtful products that power real classrooms.

🛠 What you’ll do

We’re in the middle of a major product revamp. As a Product Engineer, you’ll:

• Build and ship core features that teachers and students rely on every day

• Own full-stack implementation — from database to UI to AI infra

• Care about how the product feels in classrooms, not just that it works

• Influence how we build — from technical decisions to product quality and team culture

• TypeScript + Next.js on Vercel

• PostgreSQL on Supabase

• Claude Sonnet 4 (and GPT-4o for multimodality)

✅ Minimum requirements

• Are proficient in TypeScript and SQL — but still choose to vibe code

• Love learning from and collaborating with peers

• Continuously seek ways to improve your productivity

• Are hungry to grow into a world-class individual contributor
